What i think a lot of ppl miss is that overcapping is kindof required just like for players. That said with the 8% max res mastery survival seems ok now. It's a pain to fix to be sure, but I absolutely miss my ghost friends and would love to see it be viable again and feel good. It either doesn't do enough or does waaaay too much. The gem has too many niche uses and edge cases to hit with a generic ban hammer. I think what they should do it find a way to disentangle spectres from base minion stats to help manipulate the gems power in a less boad sweeping way. They feel too fragile and summoning is a bitch because corpse targeting is finicky at best. It really all comes to the lack of level feeling bad. I think the changes with the minion shields helps shore up some of that gap, but it's a bit of a bitch to be sure. You essentially forfeit your shield with necromatic aegis to super charge them. The charges nerf is rough, but spectre builds didn't usually rely on charge monkeys. The problem is the base stats on the gem itself have been HAMMMERED into the floor. redemption sentries are still fine in terms of behavior. I don't think that monster abilities are intrinsically bad as there are plenty of spectres that have decent kits. While the minion shields helped, none of it makes up for the sheer amount of stats that were yanked away from every available spectre with the levels being stripped away. Also without the +1 level of int gems, you can't have a +2 amulet now. That amounts to about a 75% damage and life nerf on the base stats.Įven if you argue the +2 helm is a buff to using the links in a body armor, it isn't close compared to the original rework of the gem.and ultimately a nerf to the endgame dream of a +3 helm. It's lost 8 levels I think at gem level 20. The most egregious thing that has happened is the consistent level nerfs. Dps minions should be aggressive default.GGG should give us some strong monster with one move This means, when spectres do other things that’s not a 6l, it’s dps downtime. More importantly, lots of new monsters do multiple things, and players only have 1 six link. We haven’t seen many really good spectres except harvest crab 2. So when spectre got nerfed, some people claimed there would be stronger monsters in future patches, so spectres were ok.

This should make it so other minions don’t get free power boost while players who want to give charges to minions can do so. Proposed solution: reverse charge nerf and make monkey only able to generate charges for themselves. The power charge nerfs made it really hard to crit without significant investments. This one is a massive nerf and I don’t feel like it’s brought up often. Since 6l spectre costs lots of mana, and 90% mana is usually reserved, so it’s still the shitty when you have to portal out and unreserve auras. I click the button and it summons the spectre I want. A level 20 spectre shouldn’t just die to any random dmg in red map. Often spectre is linked with AG and minion life and meat shield, just for them not to die.įix A. Their level is harder to get with less power. In an attempt to nerf other minion builds, spectres have been suffering collateral damage for a while. I’m gonna post my take, hopefully it will attract other valuable input. They are a support only squishy minion, compared to the budget 6 link powerhouse they once were.
